"My wife and I are just preparing to move into our new house in the Magna Bay area. The house is a NetZero Ready timber frame / standard frame construction hybrid design. The timber frame structure,walls, gable ends, and roof were designed and constructed off site by Zirnhelt Timber Frames.We engaged Drew Blain Construction to do everything else - including the full basement foundation with hydronic heating in floor slab, building the subfloor and all of the interior floor and wall framing,mechanical, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, painting , complete interior finishing, exterior decks and stairs, railings etc. They also provided invaluable assistance to ZTF in erecting the house package –the two crews worked very well together.We have been very pleased with DBC’s work right from the beginning and feel fortunate that we chose them to help us in building our retirement home.Drew and his crew have a terrific work ethic; are polite, respectful and hard working. "When we contemplated building our house at the Shuswap we looked at options for builders. After viewing Drew and Amy’s house that he built himself, we decided to hire Drew to build ours, even though I believe his was the first home he had built from start to finish. Drew worked through permit applications without consequence.  His crew was able to excavate late in the fall that year to start the foundation and basically worked through the winter and spring at record speed. It was ready for move in and final occupancy in 9 months!  During the build he was always on site, on task and remedied issues with common sense and good judgement.  We have built homes before and this was the first one that didn’t cause a major disruption to our lives!  Five years later we are still extremely happy with our house.  We would definitely hire DBC to build another home for us."
